Dog Travel Safety

Never leave a dog alone in a parked car. Interior temperatures climb quickly, even on a mild day with the windows cracked, and heat can kill a dog in minutes.

Dogs should ride in the back seat, restrained, and never on a lap or in a front seat, where a deploying airbag can seriously injure them. An unrestrained dog, and any loose gear in the car, can become a projectile in a sudden stop.
